Madisonville Community College’s Surgical Technology program prepares allied health professionals to become integral members of surgical teams. Students gain expertise in maintaining a safe operating room environment, ensuring proper equipment function, and adhering to strict protocols to maximize patient safety. The curriculum combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience, covering basic sciences, patient care, aseptic techniques, and a variety of surgical procedures. Upon graduation, students are eligible to sit for the national certification exam to become Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs).
