Bunker Hill Community College’s Surgical Technology program offers a comprehensive pathway to a rewarding career in the operating room. This full-time Associate Degree program immerses students in a dynamic learning environment combining classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory practice, and extensive clinical experience. Students develop the essential skills and knowledge to expertly handle surgical instruments, anticipate the surgeon’s needs, and maintain a sterile environment, all while providing exceptional patient care. With clinical rotations beginning in the second semester, the program provides real-world experience early on. BHCC’s commitment to competency-based learning and strong partnerships with clinical affiliates ensures graduates are well-prepared for successful employment as integral members of surgical teams.
