Surgical Tech Program
The Surgical Technology program at Charles H McCann Technical School equips students with the essential knowledge and skills to excel as surgical technologists in diverse healthcare settings, including hospital operating rooms, outpatient surgical centers, and emergency rooms. This intensive 9-month program emphasizes the practical application of scientific principles within the operating room environment. A core focus is on mastering safe patient care, operating room techniques, and a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures. The robust clinical component provides invaluable hands-on experience, enabling students to confidently assist surgeons and other medical professionals. McCann’s Surgical Technology program is a launchpad for a rewarding career, preparing graduates to pass the national board exam and achieve the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential. Notably, the program is accredited by CAAHEP and recognized by the Association of Surgical Technologists for its excellence. Please note that the program is set to close in June 2025 and is no longer accepting new students.
