Bismarck State College’s Surgical Technology program is a comprehensive and selective program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel as integral members of the surgical team. This job-readiness program provides a blend of theoretical instruction, hands-on laboratory experience, and real-world clinical internships, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the demands of the operating room. Students gain expertise in aseptic technique, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and instrumentation, enabling them to assist surgeons in delivering safe and successful patient outcomes. The program is accredited by CAAHEP and offers flexible degree completion options. Upon successful completion, graduates earn an Associate in Applied Science degree and are eligible to sit for the NBSTSA certification exam, opening doors to a wide range of career opportunities in hospitals, surgery centers, and related healthcare settings.
