The Surgical Technology program at Canadian Valley Technology Center offers a comprehensive and accredited pathway into the vital role of a surgical technologist. Available exclusively to adult learners at both the Chickasha and Cowan campuses, this program immerses students in the world of the operating room, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process. The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of surgical procedures and clinical settings, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to assist surgeons and nurses, maintain a sterile environment, and manage surgical equipment effectively. Through challenging coursework and hands-on training, students will learn to not only pass instruments but also contribute to a safe and efficient surgical team. Moreover, graduates may have the opportunity to seamlessly transition their certification into an Associate of Applied Science degree through a partnership with Redlands Community College.
