Concorde Career College-Portland’s Surgical Technology program offers a fast-track to a rewarding healthcare career, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to excel in the operating room. This intensive program combines classroom instruction, hands-on lab simulations, and extensive clinical rotations to prepare graduates for the demands of the profession. Students will learn how to prepare patients, instruments, and the surgical field, while mastering essential techniques for assisting surgeons and maintaining a sterile environment. Through 570 hours of clinical experience and exposure to 120 diverse surgical cases, students gain invaluable real-world experience. With a focus on practical application, Concorde’s program prepares graduates to take the National Certifying Examination for Surgical Technologists and confidently pursue career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and private practices. This program is designed to provide a blend of theory, application, and skills needed to become an important part of a surgical team.
